I got people

a little while ago (about a month or so) I applied for a job at H & R block.

I haven't heard from them since...until today. When I received a letter asking me to do my taxes with them.

I wonder by applying for the job did they but me on their junk mail list?

  1. Which reminds me... if you happen to normally pay someone to do your income tax return, you might want to check out your local United Way to see if they run a program for free tax prep and efiling. We do in our area - this will be my sixth year as a volunteer tax preparer. I hate to see someone pay a couple hundred dollars to H & R Block or Jackson Hewitt. If you are good at doing taxes yourself, you may want to consider volunteering. You can take the free IRS training on line & get certified. Our agency is always desperate for volunteers who know a bit about taxes and can use a computer. Good luck this month!
